We dream of a world where every child has the possibility to attend school. Our goal is to help over 5,000 children by 2023. The Yari Foundation’s mission is to enable socially and economically marginalized children in Iran to complete their education, thus giving them a chance to fulfil their own potential and create a future for themselves. This past autumn, we intended to find sponsors for 50 students who were on the waiting list in order to go to school at the beginning of the academic year. Therefore, we ran “more sponsors, more students” campaign from 1st to 31st September.  We are glad to announce that all 50 students were sent to school successfully. Furthermore, Yari foundation received 25,500kr one time donation which is approximately equal to 1 year of education for 10 students.   We sincerely appreciate your trust in us as well as you good will which has enabled us to reach those students in need. School Start campaign This autumn, we intend to send 50 more students, who have been in waiting list, to school with your help. Therefore, we are running “More sponsors, more students” campaign from 1st - 30th september. What you can do is to sponsor a child and invite your friends to join the campaign. Sunday 2nd June 2019 was a historical day for Yari Foundation. We officially launched in Canada. We are very humbled by this occasion and take this opportunity to spread our wings and reach more children to provide financial means to continue their education. On 18th May 2019, three awesome members of Yari foundation, Peiman, Siavoush, and Marcus, teamed up to run a half marathon (Göteborgsvarvet) for children of YARI on 18th May in Gothenburg. Their intention was to raise awareness on “children’s right to have access to education” and support the cause that Yari foundation is working with. In parallel with this initiative, Marcus attempted to fundraise for children of Yari foundation in return for his effort and time. Today, 9th of May 2019, coincides with Yeganeh Abbasi Bacharach’s birthday, our beloved former colleague and enthusiast to the Yari Foundation who unfortunately left us with great sadness after her death last autumn. We at Yari Foundation have now set up a healthcare fund to the honor of Yeganeh. This healthcare fund will provide financial help to the children or children's parents who need medical care in Iran. On Wednesday 24th April, Yari’s sponsor and Ambassador Sorosh Tavakoli hosted a dinner that some of Yari’s ambassadors (Ardalan Shekarabi, Minister of Public Administration; Yasmine Satei-Berns, host at Resan-Hit podcast & entrepreneur; Bahar Pars, Actress) and a few entrepreneurs and business owners attended. The main purpose of the dinner was to present Yari organization and the way it works.
